A Legacy of Faith, Leadership and Love: Celebrating Rev. Hannah Korankyewaa Boateng

At IPC Volleyball Club, we often say that we are More Than Volleyball. It is more than a slogan, it is the heartbeat of who we are. Our mission extends beyond the volleyball court to nurturing lives, strengthening faith, building character and serving our community through the transformative power of sport. This commitment is reflected in our Four Es: Evangelism, Education, Empowerment and Employment.
Today, under the pillar of Evangelism, we proudly celebrate a remarkable woman whose ministry left an indelible mark on our club; Rev. Hannah Korankyewaa Boateng.
Some leaders lead from a pulpit. Others lead through their actions. Rev. Hannah did both.
Throughout her time at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, Madina, she became far more than the minister of our congregation. She became an integral part of the IPC Volleyball Club family, embracing our vision with genuine passion and demonstrating that sport can be one of the most powerful platforms for ministry.
Her unwavering belief in the club's mission gave players, coaches and administrators renewed confidence that volleyball could be used not only to produce champions on the court but also disciples of Christ off it. She consistently reminded us that every training session, every match and every interaction was an opportunity to reflect God's love, uphold Christian values and positively influence others.
Rev. Hannah's presence was always reassuring. Whether speaking words of encouragement before important matches, praying with players during difficult moments, or celebrating milestones alongside the club, she exemplified servant leadership at its finest. Her humility, kindness and genuine concern for every individual created an atmosphere where people felt valued, encouraged and inspired.
She believed deeply in young people.
She understood that behind every athlete is a dream waiting to be nurtured, a future waiting to be shaped and a purpose waiting to be discovered. Her encouragement extended beyond volleyball, constantly motivating players to pursue excellence in their education, careers, families and spiritual lives. She reminded us that success is not defined solely by medals or league positions but by integrity, discipline, humility and faithful service to God.
As a faith-based sports club, IPC Volleyball Club has always sought to develop complete individuals rather than simply talented athletes. Rev. Hannah's ministry strengthened this vision immeasurably. Her words challenged us to become better Christians, better teammates, better leaders and better ambassadors for Christ.
Many of our players still recall her warmth, her infectious smile and her ability to make everyone feel welcomed. She celebrated our victories with us, encouraged us through our setbacks and continually pointed us back to God as the source of our strength.
Her influence can still be seen in the culture of IPC Volleyball Club today.
Every time we gather to pray before a match...
Every time we choose teamwork over individual glory...
Every time we encourage a young player to grow in faith as well as in skill...
We continue to build upon the foundation that leaders like Rev. Hannah helped strengthen.
The true measure of leadership is not simply what is accomplished during one's tenure but the legacy that continues long after. By that measure, Rev. Hannah Korankyewaa Boateng's impact on IPC Volleyball Club remains immeasurable.
As we continue pursuing excellence both on and off the court, we pause to express our heartfelt appreciation for her invaluable contribution to our journey. Her prayers, guidance, encouragement and unwavering support helped shape the identity of IPC Volleyball Club into what it proudly is today.
From the Executive Committee, Technical Team, Players, Alumni, Supporters, Partners and the entire IPC Volleyball Club family, we say thank you.
